Cariann Stafford, LPN, LMBT, e-RYT 200
Owner, Downtown Yoga- Yoga, Pilates Mat, Barre
An intermittent practitioner of yoga over a span of 30+ years, Cari(ann) further strengthened her personal commitment as well as her professional belief of yoga's role in wellness and completed her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2016. She earned a Certified Group Fitness Instructor credential through the Athletics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) in 2018, Pilates Mat Level 1 for Rehabilitation through the APPI, Core Strength Vinyasa Yoga in 2018, and most recently participated in Mindful Yin Yoga and Insight Meditation trainings.
Cariann offers group and private yoga and fitness classes designed for introducing her students to the benefits of yoga and mindful fitness and offers a variety of classes from relaxing to challenging. She enjoys integrating her background in nursing and massage therapy into classes that encourage each student to find their own perfect balance, their own perfect practice in a multi-optioned flow of poses during each class for a safe and effective yoga practice.
Brandy Anderson- R1Ze, PiYo, Barre + Cardio
Brandy is an Alamance County native that fell in love with fitness on her own journey to better health after her daughter was born. Building on that love of health and fitness, she became a health/fitness coach while homeschooling her daughter and then added PiYo Live Instructor and BARRE above training to her repertoire to be able to help others at all fitness levels. Brandy earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certificate in August 2017.
Jennifer Lent- Barre Tone
Jennifer's passion for fitness paired with her desire to help people improve their health, increase self-esteem and decrease stress, ignited her journey as a fitness instructor. She is certified in Piloxing Barre and has completed the Barre 108 training at Downtown Yoga. She is currently working on obtaining her Certified Group Fitness Instructor Certification through AFAA.
A native of Burlington and Western High School Graduate, Jennifer has two grown children, Dakota and Hunter. She and her husband, Pierre, have been happily married since 1994. They love to travel, cook and entertain. When she’s not at the studio, Jennifer stays busy as the Senior Director of Sales Operations for a healthcare data analytics company based out of Salt Lake City.
Brandy Whittaker-POUND Fit, Barre, Arm Pump & Flow

Brandy is a native of Alamance County and grew up just a few miles from the studios. She attended Elon University and graduated in 2010, majoring in International Studies with focuses in African Studies and Political Science.
She fell in love with POUND® after attending a few classes locally in 2015. Realizing POUND® was a lifestyle change, she shed over 40 lbs and got certified in 2016. She teaches kids, adults, and seniors and is ready to share her love of POUND® with you! Brandy recently completed training in Downtown Yoga & Barre's customized barre + yoga fusion class and will also offer barre classes!

I began exploring Yoga as a personal daily practice in 2014, the reward of my journey has resulted in a more balanced mind, a stronger, more flexible body, a renewed spirit, and an increased zest for life. With gratitude, I committed myself to Yoga Alliance Teacher Certification Training in June 2017 and completed in August 2017. I have chosen Restorative Yoga and Stretch/Flow/Restore Yoga as my focus classes. I am so eager to share what I’ve learned through my journey and look forward to the experience of helping others with hope that all of my students receive positive reinforcement to pursue their own personal journey to wellness.
Whether inactive, active, in recovery, or looking for an outlet to “let go, join me and make the choice to begin your personal journey towards a well-balanced Mind, Body, and Spirit.
