Class Descriptions

Our classes range from traditional Hatha Yoga for beginners & intermediate level students to creative classes designed to promote body/mind integration & relaxation.  If you're looking for a cardio challenge, try our PiYo Live or Barre fitness classes, and for core strengthening there's Pilates Mat.  There's truly something for everyBODY here in our cozy little downtown studio.  Come see for yourself.

Yoga Classes

 

Beginners Yoga with Cari

Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays 930 AM

These classes focus on alignment ,strength, flexibility, and balance using the teachings of yoga in a variety of class formats. We'll explore poses that are guided by your own breath and move according to the needs of our bodies.

Yoga Stretch, Flow & Restore with Cari Stafford

Thursdays  5:15 - 6:15 PM 

Beginning with a gently warming sequence of seated, progressing to standing stretches we'll settle into gentle yoga poses to stretch and strengthen. After more stretching, we'll settle into a restorative pose or two and end with a generous final relaxation pose.

Yoga Core & Restore with Cari

Saturdays 915 AM

An all levels yoga class with a focus on the core. We'll end with a restorative pose or two before settling into final relaxation!

Restorative Yoga

With Brenda Richardson Smith 

Sundays 4 - 5 PM AND Thursdays 6:45 PM 

BONUS CLASS 11/18, 6:15 PM

Practiced completely on the floor, we’ll bring in breathing and relaxation exercises along with yoga poses held for 3-5 minutes.  We'll fully support and nurture the body with bolsters, blocks and blankets, gently stretching the body and relaxing the mind.

Aromatherapy Yoga

Tuesdays 5:15 - 6:15 PM 

Essential oils are gently diffused throughout the room in this slow-moderately paced yoga class. We’ll gently warm the body & move through a multi-optioned flow of poses to gain strength & increase stamina, or to calm and cool the body...the choice is yours.  Options to practice beginners & intermediate level poses in this class.  Appropriate for all level practitioners.

Mindful Movement & Meditation

TBA

Gently stretch away the day's tension and then settle in for a variety of breathing exercises and guided meditations. End with a final relaxation pose supported by blankets and allow tension to melt away as you relax the body and mind, just allowing yourself to be.

Yin Yoga 

Mondays 6:15 - 7:15 PM with Cari 

We'll  begin with a gentle warmup/standing stretch/flow and then practice a series of long-held,  floor poses that work the entire body. This combination allows a deep stretch, releasing fascia, improving joint mobility, and balancing the mind and body.

Yoga Nidra

Wednesday 11/20, 6:45 - 7:30 PM

Yoga Nidra—also called yogic sleep—is a guided meditation and relaxation practice that is intended to induce complete relaxation...physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Take advantage of autumn's release of summer's heat and take advantage of the shorter days as a time to turn within and take part in a class to nourish your soul.

You'll settle in to a comfortable nest of blankets and bolsters that support your body in the most comfortable position so you can relax and let go as you're led through this deeply relaxing meditation.

PiYo Live is a low-impact, high intensity, up-tempo workout designed to build strength and increase flexibility by incorporating dynamic balance, athletic/dance conditioning and plyometrics in a rhythmic approach to mind/body fitness.  It is an ideal format for any level of fitness from beginners to advanced with modifications and advanced options being provided to participants.

Get ready for some fun moves in our new Barre Tone class! This workout is designed to tone, tighten and trim your entire body one muscle at a time. We will work the legs, glutes, abs and arms by executing small, controlled movements with repetition and mixed sets. Challenge yourself as much or as little as you want in each exercise. Lift your mood and reduce some stress by trying this upbeat class!
