Vin & Yin (Flow & Stretch) Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:15 PM with Lindsay

This Yin-inspired gentle practice is largely floor-based and seamlessly blends together many of the familiar poses in the Hatha yoga tradition with the subtleties found along the energetic meridians as taught in traditional Chinese medicine.
In the complimentary duality of Yin and Yang, Yin is the more calm, gentle, introspective aspect of one's being and serves to draw one's awareness inward. With the use of props such as bolsters, blankets and blocks, gentle poses are held for a bit longer than usual to allow the student to settle into the pose comfortably and improve flexibility down to the level of connective tissue in the body. This practice promotes the circulation of energy in the body, improves range of motion, and counteracts adhesions in the body caused by stress or injury. Suitable for beginners or seasoned practitioners. For online students, blocks, bolster (or two stacked bed pillows) as well as folded blankets are recommended.

Power Flow Yoga

Wednesday 6/12/24, 5:30 PM with Cari

The beginning of this class offers continuous movement and flowing transitions, creating a sense of moving meditation. With an emphasis on lengthy stretching at the end and a restorative savasana, this brisk-paced class will leave you feeling both energized and relaxed.

Slow  (All-Levels)
Mondays (with Celeste)   7:45-8:45  PM via livestream only
In yin yoga we practice longer held (2-5 minutes) passive stretches; poses are low to the ground, generally seated or supine. We focus on putting stress on the connective tissues such as the ligaments, joints, fascia, and tendons of the hips, pelvis, sacrum, and spine in order to build range of motion. This class allows you to turn inward, observe, and move qi through the meridians of the body. We end with the soothing balm of Savasana and a short seated meditation.

Yoga Core & Restore
Fridays 12:30 PM in-studio and livestream with Cari
A fusion of gentle all-levels yoga, Pilates mat and restorative poses. We'll start the class with gentle warming stretches and then progress to a standing flow of yoga poses designed to strengthen the body. Through pilates inspired exercises on the floor, we'll work on core strength and then progress into supported poses designed to relax the mind and stretch tight muscles. We'll end class in a supported savasana (final relaxation pose). A great balance between stretch, strength and relaxation!

Cari Yoga Nidra.jpg

Restorative & Yoga Nidra- not on current schedule

We'll start this class in a comfortable position using props (blankets, pillows/bolsters) to support your body for deep rest. Poses after this will be held 3-5 minutes using props to support yourself in comfortable, deep stretching.

Meaning yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra is an ancient technique involving deep states of conscious relaxation.  It is a systematic practice of moving awareness from the external to the internal world.

Yoga Nidra brings us to a state of deep sleep where our senses, intellect, and mind relax, allowing us to become free from the concepts of time, space and reason. Our brain activity decreases and our bodies enter a healing state.  As the body enters this healing state, we remove baggage from the subconscious and gain deep restoration for the mind.

Accessible to all, Yoga Nidra involves lying in a comfortable position with the aid of props (pillows, blankets, or bolsters) to support the body fully so that we are able to fully let go and enter deep states of rest.

Mindful Yoga- Wednesday July 3, 5:30 - 6:30 PM. The concept behind our Mindful Flow Yoga class is that the mind is projected toward specific areas of the body, and that these areas can manifest as physical symptoms. Each area of the body, known as a Chakra, is responsible for different behaviors and values and help regulate the body. Represented as a different color of the rainbow, every Chakra is also associated with one of the 5 Elements (fire, water, earth, air, spirit). When one of these areas are blocked, emotional, mental and physical imbalances can occur and these manifest in symptoms like anxiety, lethargy, digestive and other health issues. Through the use of specific asanas (poses), pranayama (breathwork), mudra (hand gestures/poses) and mindful meditation, the intention of this class is to restore balance in these areas. Each class will have a different focus and is appropriate for all levels. The 7/3/24 class will include movements, breathing exercises and meditation inspired by the complete system.
